Memory Care Services

Memory care is a type of long-term specialized care designed to provide a safe, structured, and secure environment to meet the unique needs of seniors who have Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. Some assisted living communities offer memory care programs, but there are also standalone communities exclusively dedicated to seniors with some form of dementia.

Like assisted living facilities, the nurturing staff at memory care communities provide meals and assist residents with personal care tasks. But, in memory care programs, the staff are trained and knowledgeable to handle and manage both common and challenging situations involving dementia patients. Memory care programs check in with residents more regularly and provide additional structure and support to help them navigate their day.
